THE situation at Macclesfi eld last weekend is a very serious matter that threatens to undermine the integrity of our sporting competitions.
First, let me say very clearly, that I have the greatest of sympathy for anybody who is not being paid for work that they have been employed to carry out. The football players and any other staff that are not being paid at Macclesfi eld deserve our complete understanding. However, it simply cannot be allowed for a club to be able to postpone games at its discretion for these types of reasons.
