JOE Allen is convinced it will be fifth time lucky for Stoke and that Michael O’Neill is the perfect man to lead them out of the mire.
Veteran midfielder Allen has seen four managers come and go since joining the Potters in the summer of 2016 – Mark Hughes, Paul Lambert, Gary Rowett and Nathan Jones all vacating the hotseat during his tenure.
But the early signs are promising for ex-Northern Ireland boss O’Neill, who doubled Stoke’s Championship win total this season within two games and must now try to steer them clear of a relegation scrap.
