COCU HAILS ‘VERSATILE’ RAM EVANS

CHAMPIONSHIP
DERBY boss Phillip Cocu has praised the versatility of George Evans, who has proved his worth to the Rams since an injury to Matt Clarke against Nottingham Forest.
Clarke picked up a knee injury in the derby, but Evans, who can play in midfield or defence, impressed Cocu when he came on in his place.
Cocu said of the 24-year-old: “With George we know we’ve got a player who is versatile, who can play in different positions, adapt rapidly to what’s needed in the team.
