Celtic legend in race to become Southend boss

WATCHING BRIEF: Henrik Larsson at MK Dons yesterday

FORMER Celtic and Barcelona striker Henrik Larsson watched on as Southend United won at MK Dons yesterday – and is in the frame to be their new boss.
Swede Larsson, who turned 48 on Friday, has previously managed in his homeland, notably in two spells with Helsingborg, but hasn’t taken a job abroad. However, the Celtic legend is a major contender to become Southend boss and proved a lucky charm as they beat MK Dons 1-0 to bag their first League One win of the season.
