JAKE Beesley’s dramatic injurytime equaliser at the Peninsula Stadium was like a punch to the solar plexus of Port Vale manager John Askey.

Vale thought they had the three points nicely in the bag in the 82nd minute when substitute Richie Bennett fired home.
But Beesley, who had also come off the bench minutes earlier, struck in the third minute of added time to salvage an unlikely point for the home side.
