NOTTINGHAM Forest’s transfer strategy looks increasingly like some elaborate and exotic game of Supermarket Sweep. Just the 12 new signings this summer, only three of whom have signifi cant previous Championship experience.
I say just the 12; last summer it was 15. Then they signed a couple of free agents, Claudio Yacob and Karim Ansarifard, before fi ve more joined in January. In fact, since Evangelos Marinakis bought the Reds in the summer of 2017, Forest have made a nonsensical 35 permanent signings, plus 18 more on loan. And the worst part?
