SCORING your first EFL goal is always a special moment – and Grimsby youngster Max Wright admitted his body didn’t know how to react to the feat.
The 21-year-old winger fired into an empty net in the last seconds of injury time to clinch a 2-0 opening day triumph at Morecambe last weekend.
After enjoying spells at Non-League Sutton Coldfield, Scarborough and Boston over the past three seasons, Wright was called back into Michael Jolley’s squad for the final two games of last season.
