SHOULD Bury be punished for failing to start the season? Or have the Shakers suffered enough?
Already docked 12 points in the wake of financial collapse, the cash-strapped League One side are now in hot water for missing yesterday’s opener at MK Dons.
According to an EFL statement, the game was canned after Bury failed to provide proof of ongoing financial viability – an accusation disputed by owner Steve Dale.
An independent disciplinary panel will now decide whether further sanctions are necessary, with another points deduction possible.
