BARNSLEY’S decision to rip up the last year’s promotion- winning side gave many supporters the jitters.
Fulham certainly know the perils of such a strategy after last year’s £100m summer spree served only to ensure relegation. Yet if one display in August is hardly conclusive, this was a performance that suggests Barnsley will not suffer a similar fate.
