WEST BROM caretakerboss Jimmy Shan believes Michael Appleton’s knowledge of the club will prove invaluable after he joined his backroom staff.
The 43-year-old, a former Baggies midfielder, first-team coach and assistant manager, has signed a deal until the end of the season.
On bringing someone in who was familiar with the club, Shan said: “It’s always a massive benefit. “Obviously with the time-frame as well, we’ve got three-to-four weeks left so I think it’s important.
