SCANNELL IN BANTAM BACKING

GARY Bowyer believes Sean Scannell has a big role to play for Bradford City before the end of the season.
The Bantams’ hopes of beating the drop are slim, but boss Bowyer hopes the 28-year-old winger can help their plight.
Scannell has been sidelined since early October after suffering a stress fracture in his back, and Bowyer said: “In these remaining games, he will be a big player for us.
“In terms of pace and power, he showed exactly what we have missed in his cameo against Doncaster.
“You saw what it meant for him to be back on the pitch.”
