Pope puts Vale on road to salvation

SUBSTITUTE Tom Pope helped push Port Vale further towards safety when he hit the winner in a fiery derby against Crewe.
Pope’s 78th-minute goal earned John Askey’s Valiants all three points as they secured their second straight League Two victory.
