LUKE O’Neill admits even he is shocked with his setpiece proficiency this season – because he doesn’t practise free-kicks.
The Gillingham defender has scored three dead-ball stunners from outside the box this campaign, including a brilliant curling effort from 25 yards to earn a 2-2 draw with League One leaders Luton three weeks ago. The 27-year-old also notched from free-kicks against Hartlepool and Burton earlier in the campaign, despite not actually honing his craft on the training pitch.
