TRANMERE finished this match with the swagger of a side seemingly on course for automatic promotion, but in truth they were made to work very hard for the win.
Steven Pressley’s Carlisle side were welldrilled and had a number of chances to take a first half lead, none better than Callum O’Hare, who somehow hit the bar from close range when it looked easier the score.
