■ IT’S great to see my old club Sunderland in the final of the Checkatrade Trophy against Portsmouth.
Both are huge clubs with big fanbases. And with the squad of players at their disposal, both should really be in League One’s top two.
Regardless of what happens at Wembley, both will view anything but automatic promotion as a failure.
But nothing is won on paper and dealing with expectation is a big part of playing for either of them. It will be a great occasion – but very much a secondary prize...
