TRANSFER WINDOW TO SPLIT

EFL clubs in the Championship are set to have a different summer transfer window deadline than clubs in League One and Two.
The matter has been on the agenda for discussion with EFL clubs in recent weeks and months, with Championship clubs supporting a proposal put forward at a meeting in February whereby the deadline for all incoming permanent and loan registrations closes on August 8.
Following further debate, representatives from League One and League Two have this week backed a different approach, agreeing to a deadline at the end of August for all signings.
