DARRELL Clarke has nothing to be sorry about after rescuing Bristol Rovers from the bleakest days in their history.
“I want to take this opportunity to apologise to everyone connected with the club for the results so far,” he said in an emotional statement after leaving the club last week. “It wasn’t for the want of trying.”
Nobody has tried harder than Clarke, left.
He took over a husk of a club that was condemned to relegation from the EFL, riddled with debt and crippled by years of dreadful recruitment.
