Match Verdict

PORTSMOUTH continued to show they have the ability to grind our results to underline their status as League One promotion favourites. The match was far from a classic but, as so often this season, Pompey were still able to emerge with a precious three points.
Despite rarely being able to outclass opponents, Kenny Jackett’s men have still only lost one of their 14 league games, usually a sign of a title-winning team in waiting.
