SADDLERS DEAL FOR ROBERTS

LEAGUE ONE
WALSALL boss Dean Keates believes handing a 12-month contract extension to injured defender Kory Roberts will do him the world of good.
The 20-year-old, recovering from a double leg break, will now remain with the Saddlers until the summer of 2020.
Roberts, a product of the Walsall academy, has made 28 first-team appearances for the club.
Keates said: ‘It was important for the lad psychologically. We didn’t want him having anything else to worry about this season.
‘This contract has hopefully been a weight off his mind.’
