ROSS HAILS MAJA AND MAGUIRE

JACK Ross has praised Josh Maja and Chris Maguire for their part in Sunderland’s flying start to the season.
The onus has been on the pair to get the goals, with Charlie Wyke and Jerome Sinclair missing the start of the campaign through injury.
Black Cats manager Ross said: “Josh and Chris have done unbelievably well to enable us to get the points we have done on board.
“We’ve asked an awful lot of them and asked them to do roles at times that were slightly unusual for them and play in a manner that’s not always natural to them.”
