DANIEL Stendel was rarely prolific. At one stage, the Barnsley boss went 18 games without scoring a single goal.
Jeers rained from the Niedersachsenstadion, the cavernous home of Hannover 96. Internet message boards dripped with snark and contempt. But for his manager Ralf Rangnick, that barren 1,704 minutes was an irrelevance.
