R’s treatment of Ollie leaves a sour taste
THE precarious nature of football management was once again highlighted when QPR sacked Ian Holloway on Thursday.
The 55-year-old left his job as a Sky Sports pundit to return to the dugout with the R’s a year and a half ago. The lure of the club where he enjoyed good times as both a player and manager was too good to turn down.
He signed a two-and-a-half year deal and most fair-minded people would agree that he’s done a decent job. Taking over in November 2016, he led Rangers to 18th place last term and 16th this time around. But...
