LOWE AIMS TO FINISH ON A HIGH

BURY boss Ryan Lowe wants to end a difficult season on a high by winning at AFC Wimbledon next Saturday after George Miller’s strike downed Portsmouth and finally gave Shakers fans something to smile about.

Miller was the match-winner for Bury deep into the second half as he seized on a defensive mix-up to secure three points for Lowe’s basement boys at Gigg Lane.
The loss was disappointing for Pompey whose play-off push had petered out in recent weeks and results elsewhere on Saturday mathematically ended their slim top-six hopes anyway.
