ELEVEN years ago this game was a Premier League fixture and the atmosphere inside the Valley on Saturday was befitting of an important top-flight game.
Regardless of how Charlton’s season ends, manager Lee Bowyer’s biggest achievement has been winning round fans who were bored and frustrated with ex-boss Karl Robinson.
As recently as February you sensed that teams looked forward to visiting SE7, knowing that home supporters could quickly turn against their side. But now, I don’t envy either Shrewsbury or Rotherham a potential play-off visit.
