BROWN’S HAPPY AT SEND-OFF

BRISTOL Rovers defender Lee Brown is overwhelmed with messages of support he received after announcing his departure from the club.
The 27-year-old joined the Pirates in 2011 and scored 21 goals in 284 league appearances, including a stoppage-time effort which sealed promotion in 2016.
“It’s been emotional seeing all the messages and trying to read through them,” he said. “There are so many thank-yous and good luck messages and it means a lot.
“Sometimes you forget what you’ve been given, but we’ve had some fantastic memories.”
