IT WAS a glorious day for Wigan and Luton as they clinched promotion yesterday, but one to forget for Sunderland as they were condemned to relegation.
Wonderful Wigan romped to a 4-0 victory at Fleetwood. And the fact third-placed Shrewsbury were held to a 1-1 draw by Bury ensured the Latics could pop the Champagne corks and celebrate promotion from League One.
