JAMES Beattie had no qualms in joining Garry Monk’s coaching staff and trying to help drag Birmingham to safety.
Beattie had a successful career as a striker until 2013 and has since taken up coaching roles at Swansea, Middlesbrough and Leeds.
One of Monk’s most trusted confidantes, alongside former Oxford manager Pep Clotet, the 40- year-old didn’t hesitate in joining him at St. Andrew’s.
