JAMES Meredith says he deserves his international call-up and credited the influence of compatriot and Millwall teammate Tim Cahill.
Both players were named this week in the Australian 29-man squad for friendlies against Norway and Colombia at Fulham’s Craven Cottage.
The 29-year-old defender hopes to make the squad for the World Cup this summer but, after his first call-up since 2015, Meredith is keeping a level head.
