IF YOU’D be willing to take on £137m in debt, then Sunderland owner Ellis Short would love to hear from you!
The unpopular American is understood to have given up hope of selling the Black Cats for a bumper price and would give the club away for free. The snag is that any new owner would have to take on the club’s debts – and they were reported to be £137 in 2016.
