JOS GETS THE NOD AS OWLS MANAGER

SHEFFIELD Wednesday have made a left-field managerial decision by appointing Dutchman Jos Luhukay as their new boss. Although he has a wealth of knowledge from managing in German football and is renowned as something of a promotion expert, the 54-year-old has no experience of English football.
Luhukay led Borussia Monchengladbach, Augsburg and Hertha Berlin to promotion from the 2.Bundesliga and has managed in the top flight. “Sheffield Wednesday is exactly the exciting challenge for which I have been waiting”; he said.
