The Hatters are top of League Two and travel to Newcastle packing more firepower than The Expendables.
Of the top 92 sides in England, only Manchester City (61) had eclipsed the Hatters’ total of 58 goals this season, pre-weekend. They are, quite patently, a League One side in waiting.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are also in the wrong division. As Alan Shearer lamented during the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday, the Magpies are a Championship team playing in the Premier League.
