MANSFIELD supporters can look forward to welcoming two players back from injury in the new year as David Mirfin and Joel Byrom near a return.
Defender Mirfin, 32, has had a minor knee op while midfielder Byrom (groin) is expected back in training next week, according to Stags boss Steve Evans.
“The prognosis from (Mirfin’s op) was good from the medical department,” said Evans.
“Joel (Byrom) had a little setback, but last week was the first time they (medics) said he is not far away.”
