CARLISLE United secured the final place in the FA Cup third round by beating Gillingham 3-1 at home in their delayed second round replay in midweek.
Hallam Hope led the way with a first half double before Scott Wagstaff pulled one back for the Gills early in the second half. Shaun Miller scored the Cumbrians’ third in injury time.
Keith Curle’s men, who pocketed £27,000 in prize money, can now look forward to an attractive home tie against Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, January 6.
