THIS was a game Millwall should have won and they should feel disappointed they didn’t show the ruthlessness required to put below-par Villa to the sword.
The Lions may have faded as the second half went on, but make no mistake, it was they who had the better of the chances, and worked hardest.
Villa didn’t have the cutting edge to trouble the visitors too much in the final third, and had Sam Johnstone to thank for keeping the game goalless.
