JORGE Grant’s last-ditch winner was so cruel on National League South strugglers Oxford City, who showed character beyond belief in front of the TV cameras at Meadow Lane.
Twice they battled back, but ultimately professional class told and City can only wonder what might have been.
This will hurt, but the club can be extremely proud of their run and how they pushed a high-flying Notts County side all the way.
County will be relieved and with promotion the focus among players and fans, last-gasp winners when you’re not at your best is a promising sign.
