IT’S hard to argue with Gary Rowett winning October’s manager of the month – but I’m going to, anyway.
Managing Derby ain’t easy and, in turning the Rams into obdurate opponents, Rowett has achieved something few of his predecessors ever did.
Even so, it would have been nice to see Phil Parkinson rewarded for a miraculous month at Bolton Wanderers. At the start of October, the cash-strapped Trotters were setting records for all the wrong reasons.
