It’s time for Blackpool to rock again
THE news that Blackpool have been put up for sale will have come as a huge relief to virtually everyone who has some connection with the famous old club. Current owners, the Oyston family, are despised by the vast majority of supporters, who believe they have mismanaged the club in their time in charge.
While their one-season stay in the Premier League in 2010-11 under the management of Ian Holloway was something special, the club’s sorry decline to League Two in the following five years must have been hard to stomach.
