SAMMIE Szmodics was in the form of his life before an ankle ligament injury struck him down, but Colchester boss John McGreal was grateful for his return as he earned all three points at Barnet. Szmodics was making his first league appearance since September, coming on with 18 minutes to go to fire in a wonder-strike and settle the game.
