FANS SET FOR BANS IF FLARES GO OFF…

FANS who let off smoke bombs, flares and fireworks inside EFL grounds are set to face three-year bans in future.
On the weekend of Guy Fawkes celebrations, all 72 clubs have signed up to a new Chairman’s Charter to help put an end to the dangerous use of pyrotechnics within EFL grounds.
The introduction of the charter follows a number of incidents of concern where supporters have suffered injuries, including a 15- year-old boy who required hospital treatment for lung damage after a smoke bomb was thrown during a game.
