BROWN INJURY LEAVES SHREWS SHORT

LEAGUE ONE
SHREWSBURY boss Paul Hurst expects his Shrewsbury squad to step up to the plate after Junior Brown was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Brown, 28, picked up a cruciate knee ligament injury in the Shrews’ 1-0 victory over his former side Fleetwood last weekend. He is the club’s only recognised senior left-back.
Centre-half Omar Beckles, 26, and right-back Joe Riley, 26, are two more obvious deputies, while 32-year-old central defender Mat Sadler and James Bolton, 23, could also operate as square pegs in a round hole.
