Yes, the pair would garner international attention and boast more contacts than a branch of Specsavers. Respect in the dressing room is guaranteed.
But, when the dust has settled and the media maelstrom has died, Oldham will still be a skint club in League One. All the Champions League medals in the world won’t change that.
