BERG’S CALL FOR ROYALS APPROVAL

JOEY van den Berg has called for Reading supporters to leave negativity at the door when they rock up to cheer on the Royals.
Jaap Stam’s side have made a stuttering start to the season and are some way off breaking into the picture at the top end of the Championship but Dutchman den Berg, who has penned a new one-year extension to his contract at the Madejski Stadium that keeps him at the club until 2019, believes fans can play their part in changing the tide.
