GILLINGHAM boss Ady Pennock has strengthened his squad by signing free agent midfielder Jesse Starkey on a short-term contract.
Starkey joined Swindon from Brighton on an 18- month contract in January, but the deal was terminated earlier this month.
That allowed the Gills to swoop for former England Under-18 man Starkey on a deal until January and they will hope he can help them move away from the League One basement.
