LIAM Shephard’s league debut for Peterborough went so well that manager Grant McCann insisted on a round of applause, but the defender wants to keep his feet firmly on the ground.
The 22-year-old started in midweek against MK Dons following a free transfer from Swansea this summer, and impressed in a 2-0 win.
“I was a bit embarrassed to be honest,” he said. “My aim now is to stay in the side.
“I’m certainly not getting carried away by one good game.
“I need to build in the coming weeks. That’s all I want for now.”
