UNLUCKY ROVERS SUFFER CALL-UP CURSE

YOU have to feel sympathy for Bristol Rovers, who lost both of their first-choice centre-backs to international call-ups last weekend.
Regulations state that matches in League One and Two can only be called off if three more players are representing their country.
Fair enough. A line has to be drawn somewhere. Nevertheless, there’s no doubt that Rovers were significantly disadvantaged during their 3-1 loss at Bradford.
The back four was a shambles, failing to clear the majority of crosses and corners. Bantams striker Charlie Wyke scored a hat-trick, all but one from a set-piece.
