SHREWSBURY Town boss Paul Hurst has revealed his willingness to sign Ben Godfrey was crucial to the Shrews landing the 19- year-old midfielder.
Godfrey, who signed on loan from Norwich until January, is the 14th new face through the doors at New Meadow this summer.
“He’s a player I tried signing at my previous club (Grimsby). I tried signing him in January, this summer” said Hurst.
