KIERNAN CAPTURE ‘SENDS OUT A SIGNAL’

SOUTHEND boss Phil Brown has described the capture of Rangers defender Rob Kiernan as a coup for the club.
The 26-year-old quit Ibrox this week to sign a three-year deal at Roots Hall for an undisclosed fee.
Kiernan enjoyed a bright start to his Rangers career, playing a key role in Mark Warburton’s side as they were promoted back to the Scottish Premiership in 2015.
But, after falling out of favour with new manager Pedro Caixinha, Brown was ecstatic to have lured the centre-half back to England.
