CHAMPIONSHIP
BOLTON have opened talks with manager Phil Parkinson over a contract extension.
The 49-year-old former Bradford City boss took over at the Macron Stadium last summer, signing a two-year deal upon his arrival.
Parkinson’s first campaign in charge of the Trotters proved an unqualified success as he helped the club back into the Championship at the first time of asking, sealing a second-place finish in League One last term.
