BRISTOL Rovers chairman Steve Hamer is behind the revival of the ex-players’ association and has been amazed by the response.
“It has really caught the imagination,” says Hamer, “and they already have a working committee and a constitution in place.”
For the inaugural dinner on Thursday, April 27, the numbers appear to have outgrown the club.
They may have to move the event into a bigger hotel in the centre of the city.
