Notts County 2-1 Tranmere Rovers: Stuart Maynard’s Magpies get two for joy

Stuart Maynard hailed the mentality of his promotion-chasing Notts County players following their hard-fought victory over relegation-threatened Tranmere Rovers at Meadow Lane.

Stuart Maynard hailed the mentality of his promotion-chasing Notts County players following their hard-fought victory over relegation-threatened Tranmere Rovers at Meadow Lane.
Late goals from Charlie Whittaker and Alassana Jatta condemned Nigel Adkins’ Rovers to defeat, despite substitute Kristian Dennis pulling one back.
Rovers dominated for long stretches but failed to capitalise on their superiority and remain mired in relegation trouble.
“They could have been two up before we went in front,” Maynard said....
